New update streamlines user experience, adds notifications, and supports employee benefit programs
(MONTREAL, QC) October 5, 2022 — Avvy Health, the first company in Canada to use an app to bring healthcare services to people at home, has released Version 2 of its popular digital health app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Avvy is the first Canadian health app to match patients with qualified practitioners who will drive to their residence to provide a range of services. The service, available for both iPhone and Android users, launched on the Island of Montreal in February 2022 and has expanded rapidly to include Montreal’s surrounding areas.
“We’re proud that Avvy has now benefitted over 10,000 people,” says Oren Sebag, CEO of Avvy Health and a registered nurse. “Gathering feedback is a crucial part of how we learn: patients are asked to tell us how we did after every call. We’ve used that feedback to improve the app experience.”
Key updates in Version 2 include:
- Notifications for new services and appointment availability (e.g., flu shots appointments are available as of October 17)
- Patients can easily switch between personal and corporate accounts to allow them to participate in Avvy’s Employer Program
- Updated look and streamlined experience
All Avvy services are included within the app, including:
“Whether you have 10 or 10,000 employees, Avvy makes it simpler and more convenient to access healthcare services when and where you need it,” says Sebag. “It’s the next evolution for Employee Assistance Programs.
